NEW AHD PAPER CO. ARTIST REVEALED: EMMA MAGENTA...

Sydney author and illustrator Emma Magenta is our final new artist to be revealed in this series. When it was first mentioned we may have the opportunity to work with Emma, Chris and I were overjoyed. Emma's work is incredibly unique, she's written a number of Children's books, been involved in TED talks and worked with companies such as Third Drawer Down.

PATRICK BLANC: THE MASTER OF THE VERTICAL GARDEN...

I've recently become rather intrigued by THE VERTICAL GARDEN, moreso the work of French Vertical Garden expert Patrick Blanc. The man is at the top of his craft and wanders the world creating vertical gardens for a number of significant buildings. In an age where inner city living is becoming more and more popular, and areas more and more populated, the addition of the vertical garden is a much welcomed sight amongst the rows and rows of concrete. I'm very much inspired to create my own vertical garden somewhere in/on our new home...

NEW AHD PAPER CO. ARTIST REVEALED: LAURA MANFRE...

Around a year ago, I came across the work of French artist LAURA MANFRE via THE STAY HOME CLUB run by one of our AHD artists, Canadian artist Olivia Mew. Instantly, I fell in love with her watercolour Ragdoll Cat, that just do happened to look exactly like our Johnny. I emailed Laura the very next day to see whether she would be interested in collaborating with AHD PAPER CO. on a series in 2013... to our delight, she said 'yes'.

Chris and I are both drawn to Laura's use of watercolour to depict everyday items, animals and people, her portraits and a personal favourite. There is something very soothing about her style, and something very nostalgic. We've worked very closely with Laura, and we can not wait to reveal the finished product!

We are so excited to have New Jersey artist MEERA LEE PATEL join us for our Winter Collection to be released in August this year. We were thrilled when Meera approached us back at the beginning of the year, and are so very excited to have the opportunity to collaborate with her. Recently Meera has worked with such people as: FREE PEOPLE, TORERO, URBAN OUTFITTERS, ORGANIC GARDENING MAGAZINE, SOCIETY 6, REMEDY QUARTERLY and POKETO...
